Uploaded only the B-Side of the record? The surface noise sounds like my copy...We got from Mike Howard's dad one evening in 1966 outside the 44th street National Guard Armory..battle of the bands?? This still sounds great after 42 years..far more so than the A-side!!!

Sorry to hear your A-side is bad. For me the A-side was the hit side. I took a lot more time in the studio working on the A-side, and from a pure production point of view the A-side was better. Hey The Shangri-Las producer must have thought it had production value, as he use a similar intro to "Remember (Walking in the Sand)" which came out later. But the Bel-Aires did it first.
